About CASCPAs

In 1985, The Chinese American Society of CPAs was founded and has continued its work in the greater New York area, including NYC’s Manhattan and Queens, as well as Nassau County, Long Island, NY. We are proud to serve the community through educational programs, in seminars and articles, to teach the general public on how to become better consumers when purchasing services from tax and accounting practitioners.

History

The Chinese American Society of CPAs (CASCPAs) was founded in 1985 by like-minded CPA accountants seeking professional growth as well as doing work in the community at large. In 1987, CASCPAs was formally incorporated in New York State as a not-for-profit corporation and was granted its tax exemption status under the IRC section 501(C)(6) by the Internal Revenue Service.

Mission

The society is founded to enhance the professional standing of licensed accountants, to assist members by providing educational, networking and other practice building opportunities, and to serve the community.

Growth

The CASCPA is about individual growth, community growth, and also the society’s own growth.

Currently we have close to 200 licensed CPA members in New York, and many more affiliates, and we are actively seeking to increase our membership by 20% in the next year or so.
